How to Release a Teammate From Your Manager Account

If you’re a Manager on Betterteem, you can remove (or “release”) a teammate from your team. This simply means they’ll no longer appear under your list of active teammates.

There are two easy ways to do this. Follow whichever feels faster for you.

Option 1: Release a Teammate From the Team Page

  1. Go to your profile name
    Look at the top-right corner of the Betterteem web app. You’ll see your name or profile area. Click it.

  2. Open the menu and choose “Team”
    A small menu will appear. Click Team.
    This takes you to a page showing all your active teammates.

  3. Find the teammate you want to release
    On the far right of their name, you’ll see three dots (⋯).

  4. Hover over the three dots and click “Release”
    A small option list will pop up. Select Release.

  5. Confirm the action
    Betterteem will ask if you’re sure. Click to confirm, and you’re done.

Option 2: The Quickest Way — From the Dashboard

If you’re on your Manager home dashboard:

  1. Hover over the teammate’s profile picture
    Find the teammate you want to release.

  2. Click “Release”
    A small menu will appear right away. Select Release, then confirm.

This shortcut skips the menu steps and takes only a few seconds.

Important: Only Managers Can Release Teammates

The Release option appears only if your account is set to Manager access.
If you don’t see the option:

  • Switch your access level to Manager
