Check-in Filters and Their Functions

  1. All: This filter provides a comprehensive list of every check-in document you have access to, regardless of its status. It is the primary view for seeing your entire history of conversations.

  2. Logged: This filter likely displays all check-ins that have been completed and acknowledged by the teammate. This signifies that both the manager and the teammate have reviewed and finalized the document, and it serves as a digital record of the conversation.

  3. Open: This filter shows check-ins that are still active or pending a response from the teammate. As you mentioned, this is the status teammates will see on their end, indicating a new document that needs their review and acknowledgment.

  4. Withdrawn: This filter is likely for check-ins that were created but later canceled or withdrawn by the manager before they were acknowledged. This would be used to remove a check-in from the teammate's view if it was created in error or is no longer needed.

  5. Starred: Similar to email or file management systems, this filter allows you to view only the check-ins you have marked with a star. This is a way to flag important check-ins for easy retrieval later, such as a conversation about a key performance review or a critical development plan.

  6. Archived: This filter stores check-ins that you have chosen to remove from your main "All" or "Logged" view. Archiving a document moves it to a separate folder for long-term storage, keeping your primary views clean without permanently deleting the record.

  7. Drafts: This filter holds any check-ins that you have started composing but have not yet sent to a teammate. This allows you to prepare a check-in document in advance and save your progress before it is ready to be finalized and sent.
