Roles in Betterteem define what users can see and do within the platform. Administrative roles are intended for individuals responsible for managing accounts and settings, while non-administrative roles enable users to utilize Betterteem and access essential features.
User Roles
Teammate
Everyone on Betterteem gets a Teammate role. Teammates have access to features in Betterteem, except for those that are limited to only managers and admins.
Manager
A Manager role at Betterteem is designed for individuals who oversee a team with direct reports. This role allows adding Teammates to their profiles, allowing for a more tailored approach to monitoring each member's engagement and overall work experience.
Corporate Admin or Corporate Admin Delegate
The Corporate Admin or their delegate can assign roles to each teammate within an Enterprise account. They are responsible for managing members and performing administrative tasks; however, they do not have access to the Billing page or the ability to manage billing details. Each Betterteem account has one Corporate Admin and one delegate. Only the Corporate Admin can activate or deactivate user licenses.
Billing Admin or Billing Admin Delegate
A Billing Admin or their delegate manages the financial aspects of Betterteem subscriptions, including invoicing, payment processing, financial reporting, customer support for billing inquiries, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. A Billing Admin cannot activate or deactivate user licenses.
Analytics
The Analytics Role at Betterteem offers access to the advanced Betterteem AI predictive platform. This platform provides valuable data insights regarding employee experience trends, industry benchmarks, and predictions related to potential employee resignations, including individualized flight risk scores. Given the sensitive nature of the information available through this role, it is recommended that Corporate Admins proceed with caution when assigning this position.
System Roles
System roles simplify the management of member permissions within organizations. Corporate Admins, who have the authority to assign these roles, can provide users with one or multiple roles to better address the service needs of the organization. For instance, a Corporate Admin can assign a Teammate the Data Admin role, which enables them to oversee the organization’s data integration processes.
Executive Escalation Contact (EEC)
An Executive Escalation Contact is a designated role that receives anonymous reports submitted by teammates via the Betterteem web and mobile apps. It is strongly recommended that this role be assigned to an individual within the executive office or ethics committee responsible for managing whistleblowing concerns.
Data Admin
The Data Admin role is centered on overseeing the integration of data sources into the Betterteem intelligence platform, which involves both connecting and disconnecting various data sources as needed.
Flex Admin
A Flex Admin is responsible for creating, editing, and submitting Flex purchases for approval within the Betterteem Flex service platform.
Flex Approver
A Flex Approver reviews and approves submitted Flex purchase requests, and organizations may design their process to include multiple approvers before a disbursement can be scheduled.
